Wow. I was all excited that our town just built a public swimming pool (something they haven't had until now). I just figured up how much it will cost for me to take the kids for ONE VISIT: $26.

Forget swimming every day.

In Germany it would cost us just under $12.

I hear of people driving to a natural hot springs water park 45 minutes away...but the cost is the same or higher.

We did end up going--I think they are trying to bill themselves as a water park and not just a swimming pool. Yes, they have water slides. But it's still a bit small for water park prices, IMO.
