I think the way to really get a new book under your skin is to work on a revision. Then whenever you are supposed to be revising, your mind is sparking in all directions on the New Seekrit Project.

The way to work on a revision, of course, is to have a deadline. Like, lop off 12k more words in the next two weeks because your crit group is getting it and you don't want to kill them. And because you've already lost 8k, and unless you clean up the mess, there won't BE a ms to hand over in two weeks.

The only problem is, I have to go shopping today (I HATE shopping, unless it's for books), and Little Sweetie heard about the playgroup-with-moms-in-the-park today. I think it might be a bit rude to bring the revision along?

My wrist feels so much better with the brace! But it's hard to type in it. Plus, I keep getting distracted because I feel like I should be out hunting with my falcon from some alpine castle or something. Except that it looks a little goth, too. Um. Concentration problem much today?
