upcoming books
Sep. 1st, 2009 11:31 amSo I looked up Catching Fire on my library's catalog because I figured I might as well get in line now. They had two copies listed on order. One: large print. The other: a confusing listing of book vs. cassette tape. I asked. It's just the tape. There was a mixup, and there are currently no regular copies of the book in the system. I'm on hold for the large print version (eek, I actually can't read large print stuff), to be transferred to the wait list for the regular one, once they work out that problem and get one ordered.
I'm just trying to imagine what the market for LP among YA books actually is?? Most teens don't have macular degeneration, and if they have vision problems, wouldn't they prefer a CD?
And now I really MUST get back to cracking my head over revisions. When I move up revelations and use them all up, it means something else now has to happen in the book. I so wish there was such thing as magic, and the solutions to everything would just leap into my brain. But since there really is no such thing as deus ex machina (or...hm...maybe Andy could jump out of a box at the end and save the day?), I should get back to work and you know, work.
