Tell me, do YOU remember what a rhombus is? All I can think of is the book My Life as a Rhombus, which I haven't read, but which does have a cool title. But I don't think that's what my fourth grader needs to know for his homework.
2. Reason number 47 that I don't post often on Facebook: I don't know what language to post in. I think it's very cool to get in touch with people from all the places I've ever lived, including other countries. But do I post in English? German? Spanish? All three? And whatever do I have to say that would be so important to put it in three languages?
3. Revisions. These are very doable as long as no one is sitting on the keyboard. Or so I keep telling myself.
a. Trying very hard to put blinders on and see only one aspect at a time so I don't get overwhelmed.
b. Running into a spot where two threads collide, which means that I don't know which one to focus on first, as they will affect each other:
i. Upping the romantic stakes a bit
ii. Moving a revelation quite a bit forward in the book.
c. Trying to convince myself that Letting it All Happen Now instead of Saving it for the End is a Good Thing. I believe this in theory (and very much appreciate Maggie Stiefvater's thread on it at Verla's). But getting my subconscious mind to rearrange its sense of where the tensions lie is tricky.
4. Must make dinner early to accommodate for scouts tonight.
5. But that means that while the boys are gone, I'll finish reading Savvy to the girls. We are so enjoying this book!
