nice weekend + random thoughts
Sep. 22nd, 2008 09:05 am1. My littlie is happy--she has now seen all her grandparents, and is finally convinced that she has some of her own. In Germany she would always see the grandparents of her friends and name who they were connected to, and sadly end, "But they're not MY grandma and grandpa." My in-laws came for a couple days over Labor Day weekend, and my parents were here this weekend, and the kids have been thrilled to spend time with all of them.
2. Is it possible for a baby to roll over when they're not quite two months? 'Cause he's doing it. I'm scared.
3. Pressboard chicken = boneless, skinless chicken.
4. Anyone have a good döner kebap recipe they want to share? Preferably to make it without a spit and without premade Turkish spicing. If you can tell me how the meat is seasoned, I can make the spicing myself.
5. My revision has been sent off, and now I'm free to work on the WIP again! I have a chapter due to my chapters crit group later this week, so I'd better get a move on. The bad thing is that after doing this revision, I can see huge places I need to move, condense, remove, change. Which means whatever I write up now may or may not make it into the final cut.
6. Now that the weekend is over, I need to clean up the wreckage. Urgh. Hopefully the kids here will take a nap some time and I can get to work.
