I hate construction

86 degrees
No AC
A jackhammer and a concrete saw going in the back yard for the past 6 1/2 hours.
No sign of any of these things changing in the near future.

I'm really not trying to complain. But if I sound like there's a hole in my head, there's a reason for it.

Thank goodness for communities that build everything in walking distance. I couldn't take it any more, so once all the kids were home around four, we walked to the pool nearby and spent a nice hour and a half soaking. Well, some of the kids eventually got too cold, but I doubt I could EVER get too cold, given present conditions. So I sat in the cold water and cooled off. And now--yay--the builder people are gone. For today. They will be there until September, at which point they move on to remodel the building next door.
