What I like just as much as the vomit alarm

That would be the severe-weather-alert-as-alarm. I'm so glad that PMB slept all night without waking up (probably  because I never bothered putting PMB in his own bed last night, so he was just where he wanted to be). Unfortunately, the weather radio siren went off at 5 am for a severe thunderstorm warning, and I never got back to sleep after that. No tornadoes, but there was a point at around 7 am where the sky went from dawning gray to pitch black in like, 15 seconds. I'm so glad we have a garage! It's narrow and when the weather is good I don't usually pull into it, but when the weather forecast says "wind gusts up to 80 mph and large hail," it's nice to be able to have a place to store the car where we don't ever have to really go outside.

Hopefully all of this weather stuff is gone by the time I have to pick DH up from the airport tonight. At least all the other errands are done!

As much as I've grown to really dislike hurricanes, I'd much rather have them than tornadoes, earthquakes, mudslides, fires, *volcanoes* --

Yeah, the nice thing about hurricanes is that at least you can see them coming several days in advance! So they might blow your whole state away--but at least you have forewarning and can move to another state if necessary.

Love the title here ;) Hopefully you'll be getting nicer weather by tomorrow -- our snow has left (I think), and it's supposed to be close to 80 degrees by Monday!

I hope so, too! It's supposed to be kinda stormy all week, but surely it can't last forever, can it? I'm actually surprised we haven't had more bad weather, given how close we are to Oklahoma and its tornadic activity. I don't need it hot, but pleasantly sunny might be nice!
