My kids are totally corrupted. One of them said yesterday, while talking about a series he likes: "Mom, I want to know when the next book comes out."

I looked it up on Amazon. Sometime in the fall.

"No, Mom. I mean, when does the version for writers come out?"

Obviously this child is looking at a career in bookselling or library science or reviewing...

I wish I had been so book-knowledgeable at his age! He does like to do reviews, so maybe there's some program somewhere for kid reviewers to pick up ARCs, who knows...

Hm...I wouldn't be surprised, actually. You should look into some of the more popular book blogs and see -- or even contact a publicist or two of mg books and ask them.

Hilarious! My own son took an ARC of a book with him to read after he was done with STAR testing. The other charter school kids were curious about it. He told them his mother was a reviewer and got books before others. One of the prators told him how lucky he was! He was the hit of that school for the week. Of course when I went to pick him up everyone had questions on how I was so lucky to get these books!
