Remember what I said about spring?

That so far it was just dark and gloomy, not tantrumy?

Well, now it's having a tantrum. We got the sirens to go off twice today, about five minutes apart, for two different systems? DH started walking home when the first one went off and loudspeakers all over campus said to take cover. He went back to his office (uh...on the 5th floor...clearly he is not from Tornadoland, or he would have gone to the basement) and watched the circular clouds spin and threads snake down every now and then.

Currently there is no tornado warning on, but the lightning is picking up quite a bit. I think I'll be getting a weather radio next time I'm at Walmart; there is no local system for disseminating information around here, as we found out in the ice storm, and it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Hey, I'm not from tornado country, but I have seen Twister, so I would have headed for a more sensible "cover." At least he got a nice view off all the fun, though.

Yeah, well, I've never actually *seen* a tornado, although I have experienced several. I usually have the sense to you know, take cover.

OH dear, it's been stormy here, but I haven't quite kept track of the weather. DH was in Ft. Smith , Ok last weekend ... is that relatively near you.. I know it's Far East OK .. but you're closer to Tulsa right?

We should try to meet over the border while I'm still in OK.

Today it looks like we're just having rain (flash flood watch through Sunday night). Nothing too bad. I REALLY hate tornadoes, though!

Oh, and I'm not sure what the closest OK town is (we're not too far from Siloam Springs, AR, which is right on the border, though)--it would be fun to meet up. When will you be moving, do you think? Or does that depend first on a destination?

Stay safe! We just have the gloom so far...

Urgh. Don't tell me that. It means it's only going to come here next.

Oh wow, stay safe. I just got back from a 2 hour soccer game in the pouring rain but I didn't have worry about sirens warning about lift off winds. Good luck with it.

Oh, today we just have the pouring rain. I can deal with rain (although I prefer not to play soccer in it!) It's the blowing away I don't like.

It's funny because that kind of weather reminds me of home and is some of my favorite. I grew up in the midwest and I developed a passion for wild weather from starting my life in that kind of Springtime weather.

I'm glad you're safe, though! Even though I love it, I have been away from it for so long, I would probably be pretty afraid of it now.
