Another good writing day!
Nov. 3rd, 2010 01:07 pmAfter some errands this morning I had about an hour before I had to get Little Sweetie from school. I figured, I'll write what I can and finish up later. Well, 45 minutes later, I had 1100 words! It's just chugging along. I'm just about to the point where I really need to figure out the details of the next big section, though, which may slow me down.
The thing's totally rough. But the MC pretty much never shuts down, which is great for me. (And to think that I used to be disappointed that I never had imaginary friends as a kid! I think I've more than made up for it...)
And ooh, the final Alcatraz book by Brandon Sanderson is coming out next month! Son 1 is doing his object-lesson book report on Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians, which means everyone is enjoying reading them all over again. I suppose the fact that my 2YO can say "Alcatraz" is quite telling as far as how much we like Sanderson in this house. And I admit I was a little freaked out when I checked my mail minutes after finishing the third book (in which, once again, Alcatraz and co. fight against the Evil Librarians) and found a message from School Library Journal. Eek!
(Sorry, Holly. But you know, you are a Good Librarian. You must have gotten Himalaya's brochures.)
Okay, off to do some research. Micro black holes and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). (And yes, that is reality, not sci fi. They really do make black holes in Switzerland these days.)
Happy writing, everyone!
