I'm sure I should be cooler...

However, I just don't like the smell of lizards. I was looking back in my journal to see what I'd done in August on other dates, and found a date a few years ago where we were moving and couldn't go to bed before we'd found the lizard that had slipped into the kitchen while the door was open. Well, now my boys and their friend have been catching lizards in the nature preserve behind our house, bringing in dead grasshoppers to feed it with, and begging to keep it overnight.



No.

I notice they haven't tried storing the poor lizard at the friend's house.

In case you ever need to know, the word for lizard in German is Eidechse (EYE-dexuh). But it doesn't matter what language you call it in, it still stinks.

Also--

My last laptop has died. I can hold it together and it works, but like ALL our other ones we've had here (and we've gone through FOUR of them), the screen has gone out. DH took a look inside and found some charring, much like our camera cable connection. The hard drive is fine, so all is not "lost," but it would have been nice for things to keep working, especially since DH's screen is also flickering. But the positive side is that there's 10 less pounds to lug through the airport, right?
