Let's try this all over again...
Jul. 11th, 2008 06:41 amI woke up at 6 am (not my time of choice--nature calls often for people like me). I sneaked out as quietly as possible to check my mail, since it was broad daylight and I couldn't go back to sleep for 30 minutes, anyway. No need--son #1 was already up.
The thing is, at midnight, littlest child was also still up.
And people wonder why I never get things done.
I did make dinner (but of course will have to make it all over again today). And I did make contact with the house people and a contact of a contact who is willing to check out a house we're interested in. I REALLY hope the house checks out. It has a strange floor plan (one of those remodeled garage features, for one thing), is old (1970s, complete with um, wood paneling all over), but it's BIG, and most of all, it's just under a mile from school and about a mile and a half from DH's office, as well as on a bus line. With five kids and only one car and gas prices like they are, anyway, we've really been looking for something where DH can walk/take a bus/bike to work. And the price is great. It's always nerve-wracking to find a place to live from across the world, but it would help so much if we had that taken care of and could move on to the next thing.
I want to work on the revision this morning while I'm still awake, but it might be the one time I can take a walk as well (get out, little resident! Get out!). We'll see how today goes...
Anyway, it seems that by choice or by force, we're all melding back into the US time zone...
