Of course, since the construction guys left, we had to have total strangers spend the afternoon sanding (electric sander/saw/something loud) doors just outside our front windows today. I think they were doing repairs in the daycare below us. Still. Go away, people! My ears want to rest!
Chocolate--it really helps. Now I'm awake and can deal with everyone being home. Yay. The boys were at an all-day swimming birthday party today, littlest child took a four-hour nap, and I spend the afternoon "ausmisting" (er, mucking out) the boys' bedroom. Two bags of junk in the trash (there is more that can go, believe me), and two bags of clothes to drop in the clothing donation bin. Yay! But I'm wiped out. I have no idea how we're going to manage this move.
I'm down to these last few chapters where we already know most of the information in them, that having been sent to earlier in the story. But there are still a few bits of crucial stuff, so I can't delete them altogether. I've been pondering one of them for a couple days now. I think it may end up being replaced by a rather important chapter. I've been making notes; now I just need to be awake enough to write it. Then I get to go back and work on the feeeelings (which should be fun), and the cutting of er, way too many words (which will not be fun). I wish I could time travel to somewhere to a) get extra sleep and b) have more (uninterrupted) time to work on the book. I do need to have things going on around me or my brain goes sluggish, but I also need superpowers or something so I can get stuff done.
