Warty children
Apr. 29th, 2008 12:50 pmWell, I feel better. I have a paper signed by the doctor, stating that my kid is not contagious and is perfectly well enough to be in kindergarten without endangering anyone else. We have an appointment for next week to remove three of the worst offending warts, but the rest are on the mend, thanks to the duct tape method, actually. I did tell him about it, since the skin was a little red there, and said how there were even a few studies done on it, and it seemed to work as well as anything else--if anything really does work (ie, the warts might go away in that same time on their own). He didn't see anything wrong or crazy about it. They can come back as long as the virus is in the skin, and he says he often does a repeat removal or two. But if we see what home remedies we can do first (I've read about vinegar as well) and they all go away, we can always cancel the appointment.
