Dec. 14th, 2007 09:00 amSo my sis-in-law is visiting, like I said. She had German in high school, but she's getting her second masters degree now, so um...it's been a while since she used German. And we're realizing just how Germanized our kids have become. They assume that everyone they meet is bilingual, and the older ones switch freely back and forth. The littlest? Pure German. She understands English just fine, but does not speak a word of it. (Except to tell me the other day, "English is for Mama." And promptly switched back to German.) Is this a problem? Next year is going to be interesting...
I still don't have my files transferred over to the new laptop, but I had ideas last night so I dug out Word Pad or whatever the default program is when you haven't installed Word yet, and wrote some key scenes. 744 words--yay! It felt good.
