Aug. 29th, 2007 05:16 pmMy book is about 5k thinner than I was when I started revisions. I have some other minor threads to follow through, but I think I've got the big ones in.
The last chapter has taken me days, largely because every two seconds there's been a crisis in which Mom And Only Mom can intervene. Not to mention the toddler napping once every 1.75 days. Last night it was 5 pm, which meant that when she went to bed for the night, it was 11:30. I love my children dearly. We need nice weather and we need to get out of the house more. But NOT shopping. (A member of my crit group sent me this link. I only have four kids, but I have to say, that pretty much describes exactly what shopping is like when we all go. Oh, and the link comes with a beverage alert.)
Now that child #4 (the not-sleeping one) is taking a nap, and the big ones are outside playing, I should be writing. Or, if I was a really good Hausfrau, I'd be making dinner right now. I'm trying to use the silence, really. But the toy horse Littlest Child took into the bathtub last night, the one that neighs when you push its head, has dried out and just started neighing again of its own accord, and it's weirding me out.
Okay, I MUST do something useful now.
