The painters finished and it finally stopped raining and I think my husband felt it was time to pull me away from revisions and back into the real world, so yesterday we went hiking. It was mostly all uphill, through mud, pushing a stroller, plus it was very long. Every piece of my body hurts now. But it was fun. A few things we saw:
The burial mound of an ancient Celtic king. The picture doesn’t look like much, but the mound is ringed with stones to mark it, and it's a clear bump on the horizon. It's the first Celtic burial mound we've ever found (they're on the hiking maps, but we can't find them in the forest).
I have more here if you want to see stuff like giant German slugs and sheep grazing in my back yard.
