I dreamed that there were three parts of sleep, and one of them was one you could assign out. My husband and my oldest son had agreed to do a little sleeping for me to help me catch up, and I was just settling down for the major part of sleep, the one only you can do for yourself, when in real life the Lap Boy woke up and said, Play with me! Not that I haven't been awake multiple times a night for the past...I can't remember, actually. But a lot.

Last night I was so tired once the kids FINALLY went to sleep (they wanted a campout in the new tent in the living room, which meant it took a loooooooong time for them to settle down), I just couldn't keep my eyes open to write. I had these great ideas for getting the WIP issues worked out, but I had to shut the laptop before I fell asleep over it, and now I can't remember what it was that was The Solution to Everything. Of course, I also have children reading lyrics to me in Pig Latin, Five Little Monkeys on continuous replay, and a well-rested, squawky Lap Boy who wants to play. I love my kids, I really do. I just wish we all lived in the same time zone and could sleep at the same time.

Poor Rose. I know how those sleepless nights can take their toll. *hugs*

D was so much easier than E when it came to sleep. With E, we finally just had to let her cry (of course, this was when she was close to a year), because often she just wanted company -- and we needed sleep! I hope Lap Boy settles down soon...D slept through the night by 8 weeks -- I think it was a miracle (and because God knew I'd only have another child that way, hehe). I'll be hoping you find some good rest today!

Well, DH is home at the moment, and I'm the only one here in the room. If I can prop my eyelids open long enough, I can maybe do some writing.

Excellent dream. I hope you can get some writing done, and that you will be able to catch up on the sleep you have been missing out on.

Yeah, when even your dreams are about sleeping, it must mean there's some serious sleep loss going on! Every once in a while we get ads for studies on sleep deprivation, and I always want to sign up. Imagine--a full night of undisturbed sleep in a private hospital room!

It's probably seriously skew the results, though. Hey, #12 is sleeping over there! Wake her up!
