(no subject)

So I'm looking for an address list we brought back from Germany, which means I have to go through that stack of frightfully important papers and large manila envelopes on the closet shelf (you know, the one with the passports and stuff). I find the address list okay, but not until I've waded through things like interesting sketches on the backs of shopping lists, and old housing contracts and stuff like that. And rejections. (I know. I should throw them away. But I think I keep them to prove to myself that a) I am submitting stuff, and b) I'm hoping someday to prove it all wrong) Anyhow. I entered an art contest a while back, not because I thought I was going to win anything, but because I needed to paint something and it was a nice goal to work towards. I got a rejection, as predicted, a couple weeks ago. So yesterday I open it to look and see what that paper was, and I realized it was addressed to some other person with my same last name. So I'm sending it on. Not a nice holiday greeting to get from someone you don't know, but maybe at least they'll have closure?

I'm sure I have my own rejection out there, sent mistakenly to someone else...

Or maybe your acceptance is out there, waiting for you :)

It's out there with yours, and they're Christmas caroling. :)

Tee-hee...that sounds likely (or at least, possible).

That happened to me once, too. I got someone's rejected partial mailed to me.

I'm predicting you have some good news coming very soon! Good luck and merry Christmas!

I sure hope so! I could use some good news! (I feel bad for the person whose rejection I'm forwarding, though...)

Merry Christmas!

Wouldn't it be fun if there is still a winning letter out there with your name on it. And I know, I should get rid of my rejections too, but I still have them, every one. Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and that 2009 is the best for you.
