That Osage orange IS certainly odd!! But those are the sort of bizarre details I love. Writers give the best reports when they travel or move anywhere... ^_^

The line of bikes reminds me of that scene in an early Woody Allen movie (I think it was) when there's a row like that and one is bumped and they fall like dominoes.

Osage orange--I always wondered what they looiked like.
