Urgh, so there is nothing like strep throat to make you miserable. I kept hoping that it would go away and turn out to just be a regular sore throat. But no, I'm now on antibiotics. At least these are the fast kind. I'm allergic to amoxicillin (nothing like finding that out with massive, full-body hives upon getting engaged), so I get a 5-day course of some pill kind, instead. Which isn't too bad. And this time around, we even have insurance, and it's waaaay cheaper than not. Still. It's not like I spent the day writing. Alas. But think if I did, I would just throw it out because it wouldn't make any sense.

We did get to see the Venus transit thing, though--we tried to project it at home in between clouds, but it was just too small, so I grabbed the kids and went to the library, where they had a telescope set up. We saw literally the last few moments before the clouds rolled in completely. So that was nice. But then when we got home, the wind had whipped up and it was starting to rain, and we have a freeze watch on, so I had to find something to cover up the plants I just put in my garden. Yeah. Yesterday it was 90 degrees, and this afternoon I'm in a COAT and covering up plants while frozen spitballs whip down from the sky. I'm not kidding. No wonder why I don't feel so good! Could we please decide which season we're in?!
