I think spring is really coming

Wow, what crazy weather! On Saturday we were looking at several feet of snow up in the mountains, and today it was at least 70 and we were sort of hot hiking. We ended up checking out a trail near Heise Hot Springs that goes up the side of a volcanic area. My hurt-foot-boy says his foot feels good in the boot, and that his crutches hurt his armpits, so he walked on the boot. I hope he really is feeling better (they said at some point he could do that, I'm just not sure if it's already). He was disappointed when some people got to go to the very top and he couldn't navigate it with the boot. But I think his foot was relieved! This is the view from the top, looking down. That was in the morning. After lunch we went to the park in town and fed the ducks. They were not exactly starving--LOTS of people were enjoying the weather and break from school. Alas, tomorrow we have to go back. But it was fun while it lasted!
