He sleeps!

Amazing, don't you think? He must have been REALLY tired to take a nap; it's almost unheard of. (Of course, he's wide awake now, unfortunately...) (And yes, I realize the arm is too long. But I was trying to finish before he woke up.)

We have snow. About an hour of huge, thick flakes yesterday, and then smaller bits all day yesterday and today. And yesterday, tons of wind--it was white-out conditions about the time I had to go up to the school to do art. We tried shoveling--but the wind just brought it all back.



Today the wind was calm, and the snow was all interesting and sculpted. This place has a lot of wind. Sometimes half the yard will have snow up to the kids' thighs, and the other half has snow poking out of just the thinnest white skiff. It really does insulate the house, though...



Even the icicles here are sideways, thanks to the wind...
