Okay, puncturevine? Goathead? Whatever you want to call it--it's E.V.I.L. I don't know how many inner tubes I've replaced in the past four weeks, but enough is ENOUGH! I'd never seen or heard of this plant before now, but it has these thumbtack--looking seed pods that are long enough to lodge in your bicycle tires and puncture them. This is the third flat PMB's bike has had--which is annoying, as his bike is a pedal-less one from Germany, and the inner tubes are in metric, which means that the 12" tires mostly, sorta fit, but not perfectly. I got some of that spray stuff today where you supposedly don't have to remove the tire, just pump it in and let it set. Well...that's nice for adult tires, but the 12" tire is so small that you can barely fit the sprayer over the cap. Mostly, it all just oozed out on the ground, and then it didn't set, anyway. My daughter has a flat, and I've replaced both of my tires, too. ARGH!
