Liar's Moon, Elizabeth C. Bunce

Okay, so most people probably aren't too familiar with Kirkus book reviews. They're known for being rather hard to impress. But here's a fabulous review for a book I'm looking forward to: Liar's Moon, by Elizabeth C. Bunce. I grew up reading a ton of mysteries and many, many fantasy novels, and Starcrossed, the book this is a sequel to, somehow combines those two in the best ways. The story: Digger is just a petty thief--until a job goes wrong and she gets embroiled in intrigue of a possibly treasonous nature. And there's magic. And characters with hidden motives, all trapped in a remote castle cut off by snow.
Bunce is the author of the Morris-award-winning novel A Curse Dark as Gold, Starcrossed came out in 2010, and Liar's Moon will be out in November.
