Recent scenes

We've been visiting relatives lately, and making our kids go on lots of hikes. They are sort of tired--I think it's a combination of not so much sleep, plus maybe hiking when it's actually warm? It's certainly not the altitude and all that extra air down here...

Anyhow, we did a hike in the hills, and then a hike along the coastline (California). We saw some interesting things along the way, like this snake that fell out of the tree canopy above us and narrowly missed splatting on the ground (or our heads) by catching the last branch on the way down.
