Spring, come!
Mar. 10th, 2011 09:23 pmWhen I woke up this morning it was above freezing! Yes! By this evening, portions of our sidewalk were actually visible. It was so warm in the middle of the day (43F) that we went out with just sweaters. I can't believe I ever thought 55 was cold! Right now there's wind and splattering rain that will likely clean away a lot of snow--but then it's supposed to switch over to snow later on, so we could wake up to fresh stuff. It's not like the yards are anywhere near being snow-free, but if we can clear off the roads between storms, it would be really nice.
Tonight I took my younger kids to a Zumba class. Someone in town is sponsoring free classes until fall, and they've been advertising it pretty heavily in the schools. I'm uh, not the most coordinated person out there, so I was kind of expecting to watch as my kids participated, but I ended up doing it, too, and it was a lot easier than I feared. (Actually, even though I was rather tired, I could hear every cell in my entire body screaming that this is the exercise they've been longing for all winter. So I'm glad I tried.) The girls really liked it, although PMB just stood there with his fingers in his ears. It WAS a bit loud... We ended up sneaking out early along with another mom and her four kids (one of which was in a baby carrier). We agreed that it was fun, but um, maybe we needed to work up to such a high energy workout a little at at time...
