Feb. 18th, 2010 02:01 pmIt's 59 degrees!!!
Why do toddlers insist on carrying around the camera tripod (that they're not supposed to have)? It will only unfold on them and they will get very frustrated because it doesn't do what they want. It doesn't matter where I hide the thing, he always finds it. Too bad I can't stick it in my pocket...
My wrist is still hurting. I'm wearing the brace thingy, but I just can't seem to stop using my hand. I still have to lift PMB into the carseat and out, at the very minimum. Ow.
I'm on something like my fourth critique in a week. Every so often I have to refresh my brain by doing this. (My own crit group is looking at a full ms of mine this month, so I'm sort of on vacation there.) Anyway, doing a few chapters here and there is really fun--it's like a box of different-flavored chocolates. It's amazing how people can write so differently! I like to pick out what is working and why--sometimes one's strength is another's weakness, and if I can verbalize why the one works, I can explain how to solve the problem in the other. I've read some really good stuff this time around, too! I can't wait to see it in print.
This was supposed to be my hour to revise two chapters based on some feedback. Unfortunately, between knock knock jokes and the camera tripod, my brain can't parse the information. Ah, well. We can always hope for an early bedtime.
