I love it when you're reading through your revision and liking it! The first 13 chapters are working! I'd hoped to lose more wordage by now--I did delete whole chapters, and replace entire scenes with a single line. But I'm only 8k shorter than when I'd started, and I'd hoped for 10-20. Maybe the next 8 chapters can be tightened more. I'm just excited because one problem with this book has just been too many stories under one cover. I think I've got an actual plot arc/narrative going now (as in, ONE). Hopefully I can read the rest of it in more or less one go today; some things need to be undertaken at a run.
And--I'm so sorry for all those with horrible weather! For once we are the ones having nice weather. It's been in the 60s this week! Rainy today, but still not bad. This is what I like about Arkansas--you can have snow one week and be in shirtsleeves the next. Although the El Nino years when we get single digit highs, or the years of ice storms--no thanks!
