Happy Harry Day!
Jul. 31st, 2009 11:49 amIt's Harry Potter and JK Rowling's birthday. I think we'll make pumpkin pasties tonight. Since we've had to put babyproof locks on the cabinets, we lose track of what we have and what we don't. Last time we really got down and looked, we found an unholy amount of packed pumpkin down there. Time to use it up!
Speaking of Harry, I checked out the fifth movie last time we were at the library. I remember thinking it felt a little disjointed when I saw it--probably because I had just read the book and was noticing all the things that got left out--but it's been a while since reading it now, and I just plain enjoyed the film. I thought it had a lot of heart and hung together well. So I'm looking forward to seeing HBP again and hopefully the experience will be similar.
Today is sunny, so I should probably get up and go do something outside before we get more storms (tomorrow). But as long as PMB is napping, I'd better get back to writing.
