Midweek roundup--I am drowning!
May. 27th, 2009 12:50 pmApologies to anyone trying to get hold of me. It's the end of school (ends next week) and it seems that every day there is at least one thing, sometimes more than one, going on. I am DROWNING. The kids have a talent show at school today and every paper they've brought home has listed a different time. I'm just going to go show up at some random time this afternoon and hope my little ones can sit still until I see the others do their thing.
We did have a nice visit with DH's parents and sister. Monday we drove to a random location in Arkansas to meet my FIL's brother and wife (who also live in Arkansas). It was a really pretty drive! I love green.

We also saw a living armadillo. (Well, maybe not for long.) This is not a good time of year for these things.

Then yesterday we had a Thai food fest--yum, I love cooking for people who appreciate interesting food! Lap Boy decided he'd be happy if Grandpa held him for oh, the next two years or so. And I'm thinking the Sainted Aunt is going to find herself the subject of middle eastern style conflict at this summer's reunion when all the kids who think she is only THEIR aunt find out everyone else thinks that as well.
Tomorrow I'm doing a small class for a women's group about children's books (mostly for moms who want recommendations for their kids for the summer). I'm trying to present as wide a variety as possible, and I'm happy to see a whole lot of Blueboarder books on that list! I just hope I can carry all the books I'd like to set up in my display...
And it goes on from there. I hope the rest of you are surviving the end of school and the beginning of summer and anything else you have going on!
