Chapter 18 is drafted. Yay! That leaves me just three chapters (unless the climax splits into two chapters). Of course, now I have to figure out all the nitty gritty details that I can't avoid any more. And I'll have to do a thorough revision before sending it to any critters. But--I'm on the home stretch!

Not tonight, though. Today was well child checkup for my youngest two. Lap Boy got one shot and Little Sweetie got FIVE. She didn't even make a sound when they did it, either. Both kids were by chance the first recipients in this clinics participation in the book program where they give a book to every kid at each checkup. (I guess it used to be just to disadvantaged kids and they've moved on to include everyone?) Considering we have more books than anything else, it's not exactly like we are beknighted in the reading department, but we always love free books! Lap Boy has chewed the corners off his already. :) (Speaking of chewing, his first tooth recently broke through. It is not, however, the front bottom one. Instead, it's on the side. Weird, huh?)

Off to make dinner for the kids going off to scouts. I hope everyone can be happy until then.
