Seven things on a...Monday. OK, I stink at alliteration.

1. It's the two-interview week. Not that there haven't been other two-interview weeks. But it's a very full week anyway, and I'll be glad when it's over. I hope it ends well, but like I said, it's not the first time we've experienced this. No uh, no stress or anything.

2. I'm supposed to take down the girls' tent and straighten up in there so Little Sweetie can have room for her playgroup tomorrow. And the kids' bathroom is trashed. Again. Tell me, do they ever grow out of playing with the liquid hand soap? I would put it all off until tomorrow morning when the maximum number of people are out of the house, but I'll be out until the playgroup starts. I hate cleaning. And I can't now. Really. Lap Boy is asleep on my bed, and I can't leave him alone or he'll fall off, and if I transfer him to his own bed, he'll wake up and cry. Really.

3. It must be Deutsche Kueche week at Aldi. We are having Spaetzle for dinner tonight. In Germany, that would have been, hm, don't know what we should eat, so let's grab some totally generic noodles and put cheese and bacon in them and call it dinner. But here, it's suddenly exotic.

4. I'm nearing the conclusion--starting to set up for it--in the WIP. Which is kind of exciting. Except that while I know what needs to happen in the climax, I'm not sure of the hows. MC faces off the antagonist. In a particular place. But over what? I'm not sure yet. I have threads from the beginning and the back story that need to be part of it, but I haven't worked it out yet. Things were going swimmingly until Friday the Vomit Day, and this week is starting off busy, like I said, and I'm running playgroup tomorrow. I just hope to get back to it before the momentum slips.

5. All the same, Little Sweetie LOVES the playgroup. She was really sad about missing out on the chance to go to kindergarten this year (German kindergarten, that is--she's not old enough for American yet), so I'm glad she's been able to do this.

6. When I finish writing this book, I'm going to need sooo many "experts" to read sections for me. Have you ever had an idea you thought was good, but you were afraid you weren't good enough to write it? And aside from just the writing are all the things I'm afraid of getting wrong...writing a male MC, football, mortuaries, construction, hazardous waste, Egyptian mythology... I know people really into football--even someone who has to do with coaching--but I think I'd rather have someone I don't have to see often read it because it's easier to hear criticism from people you don't know than people you do...

7. It might be dark and pre-stormy right now, but spring showed up right with the calendar this year. Seriously. From one day to the next, everything is green and the trees are all in flower. I like spring. I'm glad something is covering up the wreckage of the ice storm (no, all the branches are not all picked up yet).

Um...somehow I don't think this entry is very interesting, but oh, well.
