Friday

1. It's Little Sweetie's birthday; she's four. Four is the age that has historically been rather difficult in our family, but she is our smiliest child yet, so we have high hopes of her making it through. She got a dollhouse for her birthday, and spent the evening playing Power Outage with her sister.

2. Speaking of, my parents finally have power!! This was their tenth day without it. (And without water, since their well runs on electricity.) I'm sure they are celebrating tonight. I hope everyone else is getting their power back, too.

3. Tomorrow is Saturday and we should be spending a lot of time dragging fallen branches to the roadside. There are still repairs going on; a nearby power pole is splitting and DH had to take a detour home from work to avoid the people working on it. Our lights flickered a few times tonight, but we were able to cook on the stove. Me no likey no power.
