Nov. 30th, 2008 04:00 pmThe Mysterious Schoolmaster, Karin Anckarsvärd (reread)
Antsy Does Time, Neal Shusterman. We're back with Antsy from The Schwa was Here. Awesome boy voice book.
Dragon Flight, Jessica Day George
The Dragonfly Pool, Eva Ibbotson. I must own a copy of this some day!!
I Heart You, You Haunt Me, by Lisa Schroeder. First verse novel I've read.
How to Steal a Dog, Barbara Connor.
Up and Down the Scratchy Mountains, by Laurel Snyder.
Lincoln's Dreams, Connie Willis. Okay, I follow it a little better this time around (layered stories of unrequited love), but it still has plot issues (like, where did the plot go?). Great atmosphere, though.
The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl, Barry Lyga. The interesting thing about fiction is that it gives you a window into the minds of people completely not like you, like this one.
Deep Down Popular, Phoebe Stone.
Frindle, Andrew Clements.
House of Many Ways, Diana Wynne Jones.
Princess Ben, Catherine Gilbert Murdock.
Cinder Edna, Ellen Jackson. (picture book) Awesome Cinderella retelling!
Gideon the Cutpurse, Linda Buckley-Archer. I really like these time travel books--the characters are organic and the story is interesting.
Cybele's Secret, Juliet Marillier. Sequel to Wildwood Dancing.
Violet Raines Almost Got Struck by Lightning, by Danette Haworth.
The Magic Half, Annie Barrows
Daddy Long-Legs, by Jean Webster (reread)
Death Comes as Epiphany, Sharan Newman (reread)
Pretty Like Us, Carol Lynch Williams
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, C.S. Lewis (reread)
