If you're sending anything via international mail, tape and double tape those boxes. I really thought I did this, but apparently not well enough. Two have shown up short of weight, and the one that came today was strapped together. So far, six of seven boxes have arrived, and I'm still missing my German picture books, all the Blueboarder books (most of which were autographed), some whole series of novels (MG/YA), my autographed Book Thief, and all my favorite volumes from both Stephenie Meyer and Megan Whalen Turner (I do have my least favorite volume from each series). So I sure hope they're in that last box, and that it comes!

On the other hand, I'm finding boxes of books from grad school. My degree is in ESL, so I kept these books because I thought they might be helpful someday when I teach again. But I don't want to teach again--I want to write books! Is it evil to want to get rid of this stuff?

And--wow, I found a whole box of research for Heron. Including genealogical information for fictional people. I sure hope this book is worth it and goes somewhere!
