Aug. 18th, 2008 01:46 amWe're about to shut down the internet.
There is still stuff in the kitchen, but the suitcases now all come out at the right weight.
It's 1:46 am.
We check out at 8:00. Four (!) separate families volunteered to drive us and our stuff to the airport. It just might take all four cars. We have 13 suitcases and five carry-ons and a stroller. If you don't want people to stare at you, don't walk with us. It was actually a rather emotional day for all at church. The primary (kids) had cake and decorated a t-shirt for each of our kids. In the main meeting they presented our family with a book they'd all made, a page from each family in the congregation. They picked special farewells songs for us. People came by all afternoon to get stuff and one person stayed to weigh all my luggage while DH and another friend did open heart surgery on the one remaining computer to make sure the screen still works. Danke!
Son #2 is up for the third time. Son #3 is grunting in the back room.
My pillow is packed. I might just collapse without it. I don't think I have the energy to find and unpack it.
The flight leaves at 11:00. We still haven't gotten son #3's ticket. I sure hope it's waiting at the ticket counter as promised.
See you on the other side.
