Congratulations to all!

I'm a bit late in the congratulatory department here because my chance at the computer is spotty, and it sounds like there will be more congratulations in order when I've lost internet access entirely, but a huge congratulations to pixiechick_sw for signing with the awesome agent Erin Murphy, and to fabulousfrock for her two-book deal with Bloomsbury!! I really should stop reading my friends' list when everyone else is sleeping; it's hard not to yell in excitement when I see news like that. Congratulations!

moving progress

Most of the furniture is now out. A lot of it went to happy recipients. Other pieces, most notably the nice couch and matching chair, didn't find a home. They are sitting in the Sperrmuell pile. This was the last day we could take it out, since tomorrow we have to clean the place, and early Monday morning we're checking out and leaving. Often with Sperrmull (which is a special garbage pickup for furniture, and you have to schedule a pickup with the city in advance), people will go through and pick out good stuff and cart it home for free. Unfortunately, when it rains, anything soft is ruined. I really liked our couch and I'm extremely sad that I couldn't find anyone to take it. Chalk it up to having parents who lived through the Depression, but I hate wasting things!

Tomorrow people from church are coming to help clean our apartment. I guess we still have to empty the kitchen some more, but we're not planning on doing much more cooking here.

Can I say again how much I hate moving? I hate moving!!
