Did you people send your storms here?

The windows are all fogged, and despite the supposedly tight windows, a draft is still whining through the apartment, and downstairs the front door to the building is banging like an explosion. Don't know exactly what we're in store for today, but it's probably morel like your  weather than what we've been having so far this winter.

Still, nice to sleep to on a Saturday morning. And hey, I'm finally better!

Hm, it looks like it's no ordinary storm. It's Hurricane Emma, hitting the North Sea coast and blasting basically all of Germany. See here.

We used to laugh at European "hurricanes," having lived in Charleston, but last year's storm (Kyril) actually did have winds the speed of a category 2 hurricane in parts of Germany. (That's over 100 mph, in case you don't know.)

This should make the trips we have today interesting.
