progress :)
Feb. 11th, 2008 11:16 amI wrote 780 new words and added another 630 that I'd written out of sequence. I'm nearing the end of this chapter. Yay! The organization of the end of the draft is really helpful. I'll still have tons of revision to do. I like my idea--it's much more high concept than my last book (which I also like)--but I'm of course just hoping I can pull it off. I've still got a ton of research to do, and I know a few plot lines have disappeared along the way. But it would be nice to have something to work with, you know? I've decided I kind of like revisions.
On that vein, however, does anyone have any great resources for plot and/or pacing? Because that's where I feel like my education is the weakest. It's so hard to see the holes in your own writing, but before I inflict it on anyone else I want it to be good enough not to be embarrassing. Any good checklists on line to guide you through the process?
