Goodbye, we'll miss you
Jan. 28th, 2008 07:47 amGordon B. Hinckley, 15th president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died Sunday night. He was 97, the most active 97-year-old I can think of. He was humorous. He loved literature. He wanted at one time to become a journalist. He was at home in many cultures and beloved in many lands. He saw the positive side of people, encouraging them to improve their lives, educations, families, life situations. He had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, and yet was happy mingling with those of other faiths. Have I mentioned how active he was? And I think I travel a lot! He traveled to 60 countries to visit with the people there.
I think he's getting a well-earned rest. But I'll miss him!
