Nice thoughts

So my head is full and it will be a few days before I can empty it (starting with a birthday party tomorrow I have something every day this weekend--but hopefully after that things calm down a lot). I'm trying to think of random happy thoughts to distract myself.

Canned strawberries in Germany actually look and taste like strawberries, not red goo.

Mr. Clean erasers (Mr. Proper in Germany) take crayon off of walls without removing the paint. They do a passable job with red lip gloss, too.

I can read.

The very green, very furry pine tree on the path behind the house looks like it’s embracing the birch next to it, shielding it from the cold.

No one in my family currently has a fatal disease.

The color of beets. I hate eating beets--but what a lovely, lovely color!

The smell of fresh cucumbers, especially the long, skinny English hothouse kind.
