Just curious for those of you doing NaNoWriMo--are you surprised at how well you know your characters and how well your storyline fits together as you spurt out those words? I'm not doing it, but I have set a sideline goal to finish a draft/at least get the rest of the story straightened out. To do that means sitting down and coughing out as much as I can in the brief time I have each day to do it. And um, the voice is out the window, it's all telling, and I'm skipping over whole plot lines. It's kind of like someone's abducted my MC and left a robot in his place. Is this normal for fast drafting/NaNo??

If anyone has any great ideas on plot, or wants to discuss the creation thereof, I'm posting a series of short articles on in over at the blogger page: http://rose-green.blogspot.com. I've been thinking about it for the past six months and trying to understand it, and I've collected some of the more useful things I've learned and tried to make them practical. Comments and suggestions and corrections are welcome!
