Two things you can see at my house
Sep. 12th, 2007 09:48 pmThis morning when it was very quiet in the apartment I suddenly heard a loud scream. Then I realized it wasn't a human scream. And not even a scream native to this region at all. It was an elephant.
This is in our back yard right now:
It's what bills itself as the largest circus in Europe. You can't really get a sense of size from this, but trust me, it's huge. We really should go to the circus one of these times it comes, but it's pretty pricey for a family of six.
Looking in the other direction, you can find all these red and black bugs that are hibernating? into the bark of the trees. They are in the bark of every wrinkly-barked tree around.
