Still feeling a little post-Potter depression (since I can't easily read large amounts of other books to fill the hole), but--life must go on! Today we've managed to survive a birthday party for second son. I don't feel like I'm particularly good at throwing birthday parties (or at least, I'm a stress case beforehand), and adding another language to the mix is only going to make it even more fun. We did mummy wrapping, an Egypt-themed treasure hunt, a pyramid pinata, and cake and ice cream. We only invited three kids, plus our four. One was Indonesian, one was Indonesian-German, and one was former Yugoslavian-African. All the kids are native German speakers, though, and they had a fun time evaluating our German for us.

Now there's just camp to get ready for. I like camping, but I've never gone as a Person In Charge before. I'm not good at running events, have I mentioned that? But the girls are nice, so I hope once I'm there and all the preparation is finished it will be fun. I do plan on taking notes on the 30 teen girls running around!
