Mother's Day is so nice. I'm relaxing here while my husband and kids make dinner. Not that they don't do that on other random days (my husband is rather talented in the cooking department, much to his mother's surprise and his wife's enjoyment). But I don't have to feel guilty for just sitting here. *happy sigh* I'm really tired. We've had a busy week, and next week will be more of the same. I know, maybe I shouldn't have stayed up to watch the extremely bizarre Eurovision song contest last night (er, Ukraine? Ukraine??), but it's one of the oddities of living here.

Of my May writing goal, I've finished two chapters, and have two more to go. I'm also continuing to learn about plot and structure. My brain...if only my brain were bigger, faster, and linked more. To create an interesting and multi-layered story where everything there needs to be, with nothing extra, can be tricky. One of these days I'm going to wallpaper the house in plot points. I also got a full request this weekend. I'm happy about that, of course, although my mind is more on the WIP at the moment. I guess that's good. It means progress as a writer, right?

Special thanks here to my wonderful mother and mother-in-law, who collectively know everything there is to know out there. Without my mom I wouldn't have my book addiction or be a writer, or have ended up in any of the interesting places I have, or have the education I do, or the courage to try new things. I come from a long line of woman with herculean powers to change the world. I'm indebted to all of them.
