(no subject)

I must be getting smarter (or more cynical?). Last night I dreamed an agent was interested in my second novel, and we were having The Conversation. Things were going well until she asked me if she should try for a two book deal. And then I had to explain to her, not only that I had another book available, but how two-book deals worked. And I found myself explaining other details about how an agent does their job, and I realized anyone who needed their job explained to them was not the agent for me. Even if they liked my book.

Maybe I just need to take a break from querying for a while.
