another teen visit
Feb. 11th, 2007 08:36 pmI hate it when my e-mail program goes loopy. Right now it keeps trying to reconstruct my table of contents, which means that old messages that I've already deleted or filed away keep reappearing in my inbox. Which means that all those form e-jections I've gotten in the past week keep reappearing. Nothing like a repeated slap in the face, huh?
In happier news I had another travel day to visit some of the teen girls I work with. This time was in a town not too far away. It was a mixed German/American group, and I ended up speaking both languages. I got to work in some stuff about writing, which was fun. That's one reason I love to read and write YA--teenagers have so much power to change the world, and they don't realize it. I feel if I can empower someone I've done part of my job, whether it's in writing or in working face to face with them.
