reading, Germany, and submission question

I spent yesterday afternoon helping teach a teen choir to sing a song in German, English, and sign language (ASL). It was fun, but hard to keep all those languages in mind! I loved watching the teen interactions, too. They of course don't think they're obvious, but I don't think you get rid of old ages so much as add to them. The teen still inside of me totally got what was going on.
Then I came home and curled up with a blanket and my oldest son, and we read Megan Whalen Turner's The Thief. I LOVE reading with my son! I started reading to him when he was two weeks old, a combination of CS Lewis and studies in second language acquisition, and even though he is an excellent and prolific reader now, he still loves to be read to. We did Lionboy and Howl's Moving Castle and The Hobbit and Narnia (again) recently.
If you are ever planning to move to Germany with only the things that fit in your suitcase, here's a helpful hint for furnishing your house: plan to move in the week that they pick up Sperrmuell. Four times a year you can put out your old, unwanted furniture and appliances, and for a couple days people go by and take what they want for free, and then the garbage collectors take away the rest. I saw shelves, couches, beds, a really nice crib, TVs, washers, you name it. And it's not all junk, either. A friend gave us some furniture when we moved in that she got out of Sperrmuell, and it looks fine and works great.
Okay, my question about submissions. I'm subbing a YA novel to agents right now. There is one editor who I have never met personally, but whose articles have really resonated with me and my goals for this book. The books this person has edited also have elements (internal, not plot details) that my book shares. Would I be totally stupid to send a query just to this one editor while sending out agent queries? What do you think?
