No sleep last night (worrying about my mom's surgery, which keeps getting put off)
A swollen and achy tonsil and ear
A husband who's experiencing his first case of tonsillitis, and not liking it (tonsillitis being a yearly Christmas event for me, I know it's painful, but not a surprise; however, I must say that he's doing much better dealing with it than I am when I get his usual--and my rare--headaches). I just feel bad for him--he can't even swallow chocolate without pain.
When I turned on my laptop to assemble a partial that an agent just requested, the threads of the power cable finally wore all the way through. Since my battery doesn't work, the whole thing shut down into a coma of indefinite duration.
When I finally dug up my backup copy on what poses as our "main" computer (which is too elderly to run anything larger than linux--in German) and tried to print out said pages to proofread, the ink failed on the second page and everything thereafter was blank.
Somehow too much toilet paper got stuffed down the toilet tonight, and the heavy-duty German commode (to use a Texas word I've never heard anywhere else) is now plugged--and we have no plunger, and even if we were well, all the stores are now closed (they close at 8 pm, sometimes earlier on Saturdays, and are usually not open at all on Sundays. Usually I'm okay with all of that. I just wish we were better prepared...)

However, I'm told that even in Australia (or Austria, it being closer and all), such things happen. Ah, well, "tomorrow is another day." (And after six rejects in as many days, I'm definitely excited about the partial request!)
